Swansea City Under-21s to face Sheffield United in PDL play-off semi-final

Swansea City Under-21s will face Sheffield United in the Professional Development League play-off semi-final on Monday, May 20 at Bramall Lane (7pm kick-off).

The Swans secured a play-off place on the final day of the season with a 1-0 victory over Birmingham City, who had themselves claimed a play-off spot in the north division, at the Swansea.com Stadium. 

Swansea finished the season on 51 points, with 16 wins under their belt, scoring 72 goals.

Sheffield United, meanwhile, were crowned champions of the PDL North for the second year running. 

The sides faced each other in a knockout clash in the Premier League Cup in February. The Blades coming out on top with a 5-1 victory to progress to the quarter-finals on that occasion.
