Swansea City Under-21s West Brom Premier League Division Two

13th December

Swansea City Under-21s are back in Premier League Division Two action on Monday away at West Brom (7pm).
The development squad go into the game off the back of a 4-0 win at home to Brighton last week while the Baggies, who lie second in the table, suffered only their first defeat of the season away at West Ham on Monday.
Coach Gary Richards admits the clash will be a tough game but has encouraged the side to continue their good performances and go into the Christmas break on a high.
"We are pleased with our performance against Brighton last week," he said. "The whole team gave that extra 10 percent we need to succeed at this level last Monday.
"Our aim now is to finish it off this stretch of games with another good game away at West Brom on Monday.
"Getting an early goal against Brighton settled us into the game.
"Whenever we have started well this season we set the standard and intensity for the rest of the game and usually gone on to win."
The U21s narrowly lost 2-1 against West Brom earlier this season.
A last-minute Samir Nabi goal at the Liberty Stadium denied the Swans their first point in the league after Ryan Hedges had equalised.
"Myself and Cameron (Toshack) were not in charge of the development squad when we played them earlier this season," he continued.
"But it was a game where we were very unlucky not to come away with something.
"We created good chances in front of goal and were unlucky not to score more than one.
"They have a very good academy and have had an excellent season so far with only one defeat in the league, so we are expecting a tough game."
