Swansea City has dedicated Saturday’s Championship match against Plymouth Argyle to its 2023-24 charity partner Maggie’s Swansea.

The dedicated matchday makes up part of the season-long ‘Tackling Cancer Together’ campaign to raise awareness of all the facets of a cancer journey, from the initial diagnosis, to the mental health impact, and the financial struggles that can often occur.

'Tackling Cancer Together' is encompassed by the Swans striking pink third kit, which is both eye-catching and poignant, with the interwoven colours representing the 25 most common cancer types, while the individual spots represent the individual stories of those in Swansea and the wider community.

You can read those stories – and add your own – here.

SHOW YOUR SUPPORT

Wear Pink

Swans fans are encouraged to wear the 2023-24 pink ‘Tackling Cancer Together’ third shirt – or just any pink colour – to show their support for Maggie’s and the campaign.

Supporters can also wear orange to show their support, as this is the colour of Maggie’s.

Shirt Auction

Swansea City’s shirts from this game will display the Maggie’s logo, and these will be auctioned from kick-off with money raised being donated to the Maggie’s centre in Swansea.

The auction will go live at kick-off and you can find out more here.

Bucket Collection

Staff and volunteers from Maggie’s will be hosting a bucket collection around the ground for cash donations.

If you would like to make a donation, but do not have cash, card donations will be accepted at the Maggie's table in the club shop between 1.30pm and 3pm, and behind the checkouts in store.

MEET MAGGIE’S

Information in the club shop

Staff from Maggie’s Swansea will be in the club shop from 1.30pm on matchday to answer supporter questions and offer information about what Maggie’s do.

You can just pop in and say “hello”.

Maggie’s Swansea centre fundraising manager, Lucia Osmond, will be speaking to Kev Johns at half time to outline the charities’ upcoming events and discuss the Tackling Cancer Together campaign.

THINGS TO LOOK OUT FOR

Supporters will see the Swans players warming up in Maggie’s t-shirts which will bear the names of people close to the club, and the players themselves, who have been affected by cancer.
