Swansea City West Ham Under-18s Premier League South

29th January

Swansea City Under-18s will be boosted by the return of goalkeeper Lewis Thomas for the Premier League South fixture with West Ham at Little Heath on Saturday (11am).
The captain missed the draw against Chelsea after sustaining a head injury in the FA Youth Cup, but he is now fully fit and available for selection. Under-16s defender Brandon Cooper and midfielder Matthew Blake could also be included in the squad.
And after last week's stalemate against Chelsea, coach Chris Llewellyn is hoping for a repeat performance.
He said: "It was a very pleasing performance from start to finish. It was not a case of us hanging on - we were pushing for a second goal and created a number of chances to win the game.
"Our performance and the result against Chelsea has given us more confidence. We must now look to continue that level of intensity when we play West Ham."
When the sides met at Landore in October, a stoppage-time equaliser by Sean Hanbury snatched a 2-2 draw for the Swans, but Llewellyn believes the side have improved since then.
"We are a different side to the one we were three or four months ago," continued Llewellyn. "We have grown as a team and the performances have improved.
"We are not playing like a team at the foot of the table. We go to go into this game with confidence following our result last week."
