Swansea City Women are delighted to confirm the signing of midfielder Aoife Sheridan ahead of the 2026-27 Genero Adran Premier campaign.

Sheridan joins the Swans on a semi-professional contract and will wear the number 15 shirt.

The Republic of Ireland youth international becomes the Swans' third signing of the summer and will bolster Yzzy Taylor's midfield options ahead of the new league campaign.

The 18-year-old has spent her career to date in her homeland, representing Shelbourne and, more recently, Bohemians, where she continued her development within the academy setup while also gaining experience at senior level.

Sheridan made seven senior appearances for Bohemians during the current League of Ireland campaign before completing her move to the Swans.

The midfielder has also represented the Republic of Ireland at youth level, making 16 appearances across the under-16 and under-17 age groups.

Sheridan is already familiar with her new teammates, having featured for the Swans during pre-season.

She travelled over from Ireland for the opening two fixtures of the summer against Torquay United and Plymouth Argyle, gaining her first minutes in a Swansea shirt ahead of completing her move to SA1.

Swansea City Women head coach Yzzy Taylor said: “I am delighted that Aoife has made the decision to join us.

“At the end of last season, we spoke about bringing in the right kind of people. We know she has quality in abundance, while also being someone who is really good to have in and around the environment.”

“She is still young and we will continue to develop her over the course of the season, but she has impacted games well so far and is really tenacious, which is important for the style of football that we want to play.”
