Swansea City Women are delighted to announce the signing of Lily Deacon ahead of the 2026-27 season.

The midfielder, who primarily operates as a number 10, has been training with the first team throughout pre-season after most recently being part of the FAW Academy South.

During her time with the FAW, Deacon worked under current Swans head coach Yzzy Taylor.

She also has experience in the international set up, playing for Wales at under-15 and under-16 level.

The 16-year-old will also link up with her elder sister, Aimee Deacon, who joined the club in 2024.

Deacon will wear the number 12 shirt, previously worn by club legend Stacey John before her retirement at the end of last season.

Head coach Taylor is delighted to be reunited with Deacon and believes the young midfielder has earned the opportunity to showcase her talent in a senior environment.

"I am really delighted to be able to bring Lily to the club," said Taylor.

"I've worked with her before, so I know the potential and quality she has in abundance.

"She's a really exciting player and it was important for us to bring her into the first-team environment this season.

"She has so much talent, and now it's about giving her the opportunity to express herself and show what she's capable of at senior level.

"We're all looking forward to seeing her continue her development this season."
