Swansea City will discover their fixture list for the 2020-21 season on Friday, August 21 at 9am.

The EFL has confirmed that all Championship, League One and League Two fixtures will be announced next week with the new campaign rapidly approaching.

The league season is set to begin on the weekend of September 12, and will conclude on the weekend of May 8, 2021.

The respective play-off finals will be played over Bank Holiday weekend of May 29-31.

Due to the unprecedented scheduling challenge presented by the season beginning six weeks later than usual, there will be 13 rounds of midweek games in the Championship.

The delay to the start of the season, a knock-on effect of the three-month suspension of football earlier this year owing to the Coronavirus pandemic, also sees an adjustment to the Carabao Cup.

The first round is scheduled for the weekend of September 5 – although due to this being during an international break the ties may be played on alternative dates.

The draw for the first round is to be held on Tuesday, August 18, with the time to be confirmed. It will be split into northern and southern sections and be unseeded.

Subsequently, rounds two, three and four will be played in consecutive midweeks beginning on September 15-16.

The semi-finals will be single games, rather than two-legged ties.
