Swansea City is delighted to announce Swansea University will be the club’s front-of-away-shirt partner and sponsor the club’s travel and training wear for the forthcoming 2022-23 season.

The club had previously revealed the decision to have different front-of-shirt sponsors on our home and away kits respectively, thus increasing the exposure for our local partners.

Westacres has been confirmed as the front-of-home-shirt sponsor for the upcoming Championship campaign, and the club is thrilled to have another long-term partner in Swansea University adorn the front of our away kit.

The award-winning university will sit on the front of the first-team’s new away kit, travel and training wear for the duration of the new season.

Swansea University’s logo will also feature on the away shirts of our academy and Ladies’ teams.

The continued partnership also means our young fans can continue to wear the exact same away shirt as their Swansea City heroes for the third season running.

Swansea University will also retain its status as the club’s exclusive higher education partner.

Swansea City’s head of commercial, Rebecca Edwards-Symmons, said: “We are thrilled that Swansea University will adorn our away kit for the 2022-23 season, after fantastic feedback from our supporters.

“Swansea University is completely aligned with our business, and the long-standing joined up way of working is clear for our community to see.

“We have an excellent relationship with Swansea University and are looking forward to continuing our partnership.”

Swansea University will also continue to sponsor the West Stand at the Swansea.com Stadium, while also continuing to have its branding promoted on SwansTV Live fixtures streamed to the club’s international and UK supporters.

The university, which has been at the cutting edge of research and innovation since 1920, has a long history of working with business and industry.

In the latest Research Excellence Framework 2021 assessment, 86% of the university’s overall research was rated as world-leading or internationally excellent – up from 80% in the previous REF exercise in 2014.

Niamh Lamond, Swansea University’s registrar and chief operating officer, said: “Swansea University is proud to continue its partnership with Swansea City for the forthcoming 2022-23 season.

“We look forward to building on our partnership with the Swans, the relationship is more than just sponsorship and extends into our elite sports offering, as well delivering support for students and the local area.

“We would like to thank everyone at Swansea City for their continued support and we look forward to what we hope will be another successful season on and off the pitch.”

Our new 2022-23 home and away kits will be released soon. Keep up to date with the latest Swans news by subscribing to emails and following us on our social media channels.
