Swansea City have parted company with Franck Tabanou by mutual consent.

The club and Tabanou reached a ‘compromise agreement’ to end the remaining one year of his contract in order to help the 28-year-old find a new club.

Tabanou made just three appearances for the Swans since joining from Ligue 1 club St Etienne in June 2015.

All of those came in cup competitions, with the former France Under-21 international finding opportunities hard to come by as he was kept out of the starting XI by Neil Taylor.

He returned to France for a temporary spell with his former club – making 13 appearances – before heading out again for a season-long spell in Spain with Granada, for whom he featured six times in La Liga as they were relegated from the top flight.

Everyone at Swansea City would like to wish Franck good luck for the rest of his career.
