Team news | Swansea City v Brentford

26th July
First team
Mike van der Hoorn

Swansea City boss Steve Cooper names an unchanged side for the first leg of the play-off semi-final against Brentford at the Liberty Stadium (6.30pm).

The Swans head coach goes with the same XI that started the midweek win over Reading, which catapulted them into the top six.

Defender Mike van der Hoorn had been a doubt after coming off at half-time in Berkshire, but he is passed fit to face the Bees.

The Dutchman lines up alongside Ben Cabango and Marc Guehi in a back three, with Erwin Mulder in goal behind them.

Connor Roberts and Jake Bidwell are the two wing-backs, with Jay Fulton and Matt Grimes taking the deep-lying midfield roles.

Conor Gallagher will operate ahead of them, with Andre Ayew looking to support in-form striker Rhian Brewster up top.

However, there is no place on the bench for Wayne Routledge, with Swansea’s two-goal hero from Wednesday ruled out by injury. Under-23s’ defender Cameron Evans takes a place in a senior matchday squad for the first time.
