Team news | Swansea City v Middlesbrough

14th December
First team
Stoke Yan Dhanda

Birthday boy Yan Dhanda comes in for the suspended Tom Carroll in the only change to the Swansea City starting line-up to face Middlesbrough.

Carroll misses out following his red card against Blackburn in midweek, so Dhanda - who turns 21 today - makes his first appearance since the defeat to Brentford towards the end of October.

Otherwise the Swans are unchanged from the side that started the draw against Rovers.

Freddie Woodman is in goal, with Connor Roberts, Mike van der Hoorn, Ben Cabango and Jake Bidwell making up the back four.

Captain Matt Grimes is partnered by George Byers in midfield, with Dhanda set to operate at number 10.

Andre Ayew and Bersant Celina occupy the flanks, with Sam Surridge leading the attack.

On the bench, Declan John is named among the substitutes following his recent hamstring injury.
