Team news | Swansea City v Reading

27th November
First team
Brighton away Rhys Williams 1

Rhys Williams makes his first Swansea City start since mid-September as one of three changes to the line-up to face Reading.

The on-loan Liverpool defender comes into the Swans defence in place of Ben Cabango, while Ryan Manning and Olivier Ntcham are also handed starts by head coach Russell Martin after their lively cameos in the midweek win at Barnsley.

Jake Bidwell and Flynn Downes drop to the bench as a result, while Brandon Cooper is also named among the substitutes.

Ben Hamer continues in goal, with Williams lining up alongside Ryan Bennett and Kyle Naughton in the Swansea defence.

Manning and Ethan Laird are the wing-backs with skipper Matt Grimes and Korey Smith dovetailing together in midfield.

The front three sees Ntcham and Jamie Paterson – the wo goalscorers from that win at Oakwell – provide support for topscorer Joel Piroe in attack.

The visitors hand a first start to Andy Carroll following his recent arrival on a short-term deal.
