Huddersfield Aldo Kalulu

Aldo Kalulu returns to the Swansea City starting line-up in the sole change for today’s clash with Championship leaders West Brom.

The winger comes in for Jordon Garrick on the flank in the solitary alteration from the draw at Blackburn.

That means the Swans have been handed a considerable boost with Andre Ayew passed fit to start, having been a doubt due to the foot injury he suffered at Ewood Park.

Freddie Woodman – fresh from saving penalties in consecutive games – starts in goal behind a back four of Kyle Naughton, Joe Rodon, Ben Cabango and Jake Bidwell.

Captain Matt Grimes and Jay Fulton pair up in midfield, with Kalulu, Conor Gallagher and Ayew ahead of them.

Rhian Brewster will lead the line again for the Swans.

Steve Cooper named a six-man bench due to a combination of illness, injury and the rules governing the number of loan players allowed in a matchday squad.

Garrick misses out through illness, while Bersant Celina, Wayne Routledge, Mike van der Hoorn and George Byers are all injured.

Including Marc Guehi would have taken Swansea beyond the EFL threshold of five players in a matchday squad with Woodman, Kalulu, Gallagher, Brewster and Wilmot all selected.

The decision has also been taken not to call up any players from the under-23 or under-18 squads due to the recent outbreak of mumps.
