Three Swansea City stars World Cup bound
Three Swansea City players are heading to the United States, Mexico and Canada this summer to represent their respective countries at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Marko Stamenic, Jisung Eom and now Cameron Burgess have all been named in their respective national squads for the global showpiece, which gets under way on June 11.
Stamenic will represent New Zealand after the All Whites qualified in March 2025 by progressing through the Oceania section of qualifying. This will be their their first World Cup finals appearance since 2010.

Eom was next to be called up for South Korea, who qualified in impressive fashion by not losing any of their 16 matches in qualification, seeing them top the second group stage by six points from Jordan.
This will be their 12th appearance at a World Cup finals.

Cameron Burgess became the third and final Swan to be named in a squad for the tournament when Australia named their squad just ahead of the June 1 deadline.
The Socceroos are preparing for their sixth World Cup finals in a row, having secured their place in this year's tournament courtesy of a comeback victory over Saudi Arabia in a crucial qualifier.
