Swansea City secured their most recent victory at Pride Park in 2024, making a flying start before having to withstand a determined Derby response.
Žan Vipotnik opened the scoring inside the first two minutes with an excellent finish, while Ronald doubled the advantage shortly afterwards following another well-worked Swansea attack.
Derby gradually found their way back into the contest and were handed a lifeline after the interval when Nathaniel Méndez-Laing converted from the penalty spot.
The hosts pushed for an equaliser during the closing stages, but Swansea defended resolutely to see out the 2-1 victory and claim a valuable three points on the road.

A Shefki Kuqi header earned Swansea a hard-fought victory at Pride Park in 2010, in a fiery encounter that saw both teams finish with 10 men.
The game changed shortly after the hour mark when Derby defender James McEveley was shown a second yellow card for bringing down Nathan Dyer.
Swansea took advantage almost immediately, with Kuqi rising highest to head home and give Paulo Sousa’s side the lead.
The numbers were level again just 10 minutes later, however, when Gorka Pintado was dismissed for a challenge on Robbie Savage.
Swansea held firm during the closing stages to secure a 1-0 win and register an impressive 18th clean sheet of the campaign.

Roberto Martinez’s Swansea produced a stirring second-half comeback to leave Pride Park with a point in 2009.
Derby striker Chris Porter put the hosts ahead inside the opening quarter of an hour before doubling their advantage shortly after half-time.
The Swans had struggled to make an impact before the interval, but their fortunes changed after the restart. Jordi Gomez had already gone close on two occasions before his free-kick was turned in by Angel Rangel to halve the deficit.
Swansea continued to push for an equaliser and got their reward with just three minutes remaining. Jason Scotland supplied Gorka Pintado, who unleashed a powerful effort that flew in off the underside of the crossbar.
The dramatic late leveller completed a memorable comeback and ensured Martinez’s side returned to south Wales with a valuable point.
Derby County 3-4 Swansea City
Division Two | April 19, 1965
One of Swansea’s most memorable victories at Derby came in a remarkable seven-goal thriller in 1965.
The Swans endured a difficult first half and found themselves behind, although Keith Todd’s goal just before the interval gave Trevor Morris’s side renewed hope at 2-1 down.
Derby restored their two-goal advantage soon after the restart, but Swansea refused to fold. An own goal from Geoff Barrowcliffe reduced the deficit before George Kirby brought the visitors level.
With momentum firmly behind them, Jimmy McLaughlin completed the remarkable turnaround as Swansea moved ahead for the first time and held on for a thrilling 4-3 triumph.
The victory was made even more extraordinary by the fact Swansea completed a remarkable double over Derby within 24 hours, beating the Rams 2-1 at the Vetch Field the following evening.
