Trio still sidelined for Forest cup tie
Head coach Alan Sheehan expects to have the same group of players to choose from for Swansea City’s Carabao Cup clash with Nottingham Forest, with none of his injured contingent ready to make a return to action.
Midfielders Marko Stamenic and Jay Fulton, plus defender Ricardo Santos, missed the weekend draw with Hull City.
Stamenic and Fulton have groin issues, while Santos is nearing the completion of his recovery from a knee injury.
It remains to be seen if the trio are fit for the weekend trip to Birmingham City, but Sheehan confirmed they will not be in the mix for Wednesday’s third-round tie.
“There’s no new changes in terms of injuries,” said the Swans boss.
“That means Jay, Ricardo and Marko won’t be available for the game.
“It’s a massive test, we understand the nature of the test wea re coming up against, but we want to challenge ourselves and see where we are at.”
