Under-18 starlets offered contracts

22nd May

Six young Swansea City players have been offered new deals to play for the club’s under-23 side next season.

Under-18 captain Ben Cabango and left-back Matthew Blake, who each featured a number of times for the development side in 2017-18, have been handed contract offers.

The Swans have also offered fresh terms to defender Joe Lewis and midfielders Cameron Berry, Oliver Cooper and Tom Price following the under-18s’ sixth-place finish in Premier League South – their most successful since joining category one football in 2015.

Meanwhile, six academy scholars will leave the Liberty Stadium this summer.

Goalkeeper Alex Lang, defender Rhydian Williams, midfielders Jack Fox, Finley Hazell and Jordan Jones and forward Matthew Roberts have all been released.

The Swans would like to thank every one of the players for their service and wish them all the best in their future careers.
