Swansea City made a dream return to Championship action with a handsome 3-0 victory over Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.

The result provided a boost to the Swans play-off aspirations as the final run-in of the 2019-20 campaign commenced in earnest.

Here, we look at the key facts and figures from an impressive showing by Steve Cooper’s side.

1 – This equalled Swansea’s best league result of the season, matching the 3-0 victory over Birmingham at the Liberty Stadium back in August.

3 – Steve Cooper praised the performances of Ben Cabango and Ben Wilmot at the back. The two 20-year-olds have now kept three clean sheets in five starts together at the heart of the Swansea defence.

3 – This was the first time the Swans had scored three first-half goals in a league fixture since the 4-1 victory at Reading on New Year’s Day 2019.

5 – Rhian Brewster’s last five Swansea goals have come away from home, of his six only his first against Wigan came at the Liberty.

6 – Andre Ayew moved clear at the top of the Swans’ assists charts as his tee up of Brewster’s opener took the Ghanaian ahead of Conor Gallagher’s tally of five.

12 – This was Swansea’s 12th clean sheet of the Championship season. Only Leeds have had more shut-outs (15) this term.

15 – Ayew also underlined his status as top scorer for the Swans this season, his first-half penalty took his tally to 15 for the 2019-20 campaign.

56 – Victory took the Swans tally to 56 points for the season to date, six points better off than they were at the same stage of last season.
