Head coach Vitor Matos has warned his Swansea City side to pay no heed to the league or form tables and focus on the task at hand when they host Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday (12.01pm).

The Swans take on the Owls looking to extend their six-match unbeaten streak on home turf, and they will start as favourites against a visiting team who are rooted to the bottom of the Championship.

On the back of a series of penalties related to financial issues at the famous south Yorkshire club, Wednesday are set for relegation and have just one league win to their name this term.

But Matos sees a team that is full of fight and, despite a run of defeats, one that has been competitive against its recent opponents.

All of which means, he is keen to get the message across that no-one in Swansea colours should be taking anything for granted.

"No-one should be thinking anything is easy," said the Swans boss.

"You only have to look at their recent results to see that it is a team that is fighting.

"They are trying their very best to get the points and results, they are in a difficult position but they are giving everything.

"So you cannot have any thought or instinct that the game is done before it starts."
