Vitor Matos and Swansea City head to north Wales looking to put in a performance to make a sold-out away end proud against Wrexham tonight (8pm kick-off).

The Swans will be cheered on by just over 1,200 fans at the Racecourse as they look to complete a league double against the only other Welsh club in the Championship.

Swansea were 2-1 winners when the teams met at the Swansea.com Stadium back in December in a hard-fought contest.

Matos expects more of the same this evening, and wants his players to manage the emotion of the occasion.

“It's always about that when you have these kind of games,” he said.

“For us, what it means is that we go there and try our best to make our supporters proud and happy, and give them a reason to look forward to the next game too.

“We have been doing that. In terms of the table they are in a higher position than us having played one game less, but there are a lot of examples in football where you can show that the table doesn’t mean anything, and that’s what we are going there to prove.

“It will be a good game, I believe it will be quite emotional and balanced, so it will be the small details which can make a big difference. We will be ready for that.

“It was a really good game when we were at home, the atmosphere and environment in the stadium was unbelievable, and I think it will be the same again.

“Our fans will be there for us, as they always are, and I think it’s important that we got there and put in a performance that everyone will be proud of.

“There’s a lot of things to handle emotionally, but we have been doing that over the season and I think this can be a good chapter for us.”
