"We all knew Bersant would bounce back"

Bersant Celina bounced back from his West Brom disappointment with a fine goal and performance against Manchester City, but his showing came as absolutely no surprise to his Swansea City team-mates.

The Kosovo international had endured a tough few days in the build-up to the FA Cup quarter-final clash after failing to score from the spot against the Baggies.

At The Hawthorns, Celina slipped as he was about to strike the ball and ended up kicking it into his standing leg, allowing it to be cleared as it bobbled away from him.

The nature of the miss put the former City man in the spotlight as he prepared to take his old club, but he showed his quality as part of a Swans' display full of character and quality.

Grimes was pleased to see Celina produce his best form under pressure, but he always knew the attacking midfielder would deliver despite his midweek disappointment.

"Bersant’s a quality player and everyone knows the quality he has got," said Grimes of the Kosovo cap, who is currently away on international duty.

"It was an unfortunate incident on Wednesday but we all knew he’d bounce back and he bounced back in the best possible way by getting such a well-taken goal.

"He is a quality player, a match-winner on his day, we know what he is capable of."
