'We want to end on a high'

21st April

Cian Harries says Swansea City Under-23s are aiming to end their Premier League 2 season on a high when they face Sunderland at the Liberty Stadium on Monday (7pm).

The young Swans are looking to cap off a fine debut campaign in the top division of development football by securing a top-four finish.

Harries believes the Swans have come a long way since the start of the season and has urged his team-mates to finish with a win at the Liberty.

“We’ve had a really good season. Our results and form have been good,” the under-23s skipper said. “We’re looking to end the season on a high note.

“If you’d offered us a place in the top four after our first few games when we were finding it tough, we’d certainly have taken it.

“It’s going to be a difficult game. Anyone can beat anyone in this league, there isn’t much between the sides in the top and bottom half.

“But hopefully, we can provide an assured performance and enjoy a convincing win.”
