We're continuing to grow, says Matt Grimes

Captain Matt Grimes feels Swansea City are continuing to grow as the Championship season enters its final nine games.

Just three points separate sixth-placed Preston and the Swans, with Steve Cooper’s side within touching distance of the play-off spots courtesy of last weekend’s 0-0 draw with West Brom at the Liberty.

Grimes feels that performance and point was further evidence of the continued development this season under Cooper.

“I think we’ve done a lot of growing throughout the season and Saturday was a big marker for that,” said the 24-year-old.

“They beat us very well in the game at The Hawthorns so we knew it was going to be tough, but again we showed what we were about and showed good character.

“I thought we were definitely worthy of a point or three based on the chances we created.”
