Steve Cooper has confirmed wingers Wayne Routledge and Nathan Dyer are facing short spells on the sidelines through injury.

Routledge was not involved in the win over Huddersfield after starting and scoring against Hull, while Dyer was also absent from the matchday squad.

And the head coach confirmed the pair are nursing knocks, meaning they are unlikely to be involved until after the upcoming away games at Fulham and Blackburn.

“Wayne and Nathan were both unavailable today,” said Cooper.

“With Wayne we are looking at around 10 days out, he has just got a bit of a niggle behind the knee, and with Nathan it is something similar as well.

"We don't think Nathan will be as long but it's a bit inconclusive around him and it may be a few days.

“That was a pity, for us and for them, but they are very visible in the dressing room and adding the value above the contribution they have as players.

"Nathan has not played so much, but he is very much a positive influence around the place.

"Hopefully they will ready soon."
