Wycombe kick-off time to change

The kick-off time of Swansea City’s Championship clash with Wycombe Wanderers is set to change to avoid a clash with the funeral of the Duke of Edinburgh, who died on Friday.

As a mark of respect, all EFL matches scheduled to kick-off in the traditional Saturday afternoon slot of 3pm will be moved.

The Swans’ Liberty Stadium meeting with the Chairboys had been due to start at 3pm on Saturday, April 17; the same time as the funeral service is to begin.

Details are to be confirmed in due course.

An EFL spokesperson said: “As a mark of respect, EFL matches scheduled for 3pm on Saturday April 17 will be moved to avoid a clash with the funeral of HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

“The EFL will now work with its Clubs to determine at what time the matches will be played, giving consideration to the timing of the service. 

“An announcement will follow in due course.”
