Young Swans selected for Wales age-grade duties

14th March

No fewer than seven Swansea City youngsters have been selected for Wales age-grade squads.

Defenders Ben Cabango and Brandon Cooper have been picked in Paul Bodin's Under-19 squad as they head to the Netherlands for the elite round of qualifying for  the summer's European Championship.

There they will face the hosts, Slovenia and Spain as they look to become the first Welsh men's intermediate side to reach the finals of a major competition.

Wales Under-21s, meanwhile, will hold a mid-season training camp with Oli Cooper, Liam Cullen, Keiran Evans, Aaron Lewis (currently on loan at Doncaster) and Joe Lewis all set to report to Dragon Park.

Midfielder Kees de Boer will be in the Netherlands' Under-19 squad and could face team-mates Cabango and Cooper, while Simon Paulet is in the Belgium Under-19 squad.
