Young Swans set for international opportunities

Nine Swansea City youngsters have been called up to represent Wales Under-21s and Under-19s ahead of this month’s internationals.

Swans Under-23s captain Joe Rodon looks set to represent the Young Dragons once again alongside midfielders Jack Evans and winger Daniel James.

Wales Under-21s, who have recorded two wins from three in their Uefa Championship qualifying group, face Bosnia & Herzegovina (November 10) and Romania (November 14).

Meanwhile, six Swans players have been named in Wales’ under-19 squad to play a Uefa qualifying tournament in Turkey.

Under-18s captain Brandon Cooper will be joined by Keiran Evans, Joe Lewis, Mason Jones-Thomas, Liam Cullen and Oliver Cooper.

They face Slovakia (November 7), Turkey (November 10) and Kazakhstan (November 13) in a mini-tournament with the top two teams progressing to an elite round next year.
