Young Swans travel to Reading

3rd August

Swansea City Under-23s complete their preparations for the new Premier League 2 season when they play Reading at Hogwood Park on Saturday (2pm).

The young Swans travel to Berkshire for their sixth and final pre-season friendly, which will be played behind closed doors.

The development side will be aiming to build on their impressive 2-0 victory over Llanelli Town on Wednesday, when George Byers and Courtney Baker-Richardson were on target.

The Swans have also overcome Bristol Manor Farm in pre-season, as well as earning a 1-1 draw with National League South side Truro City.

This will be Reading’s penultimate friendly in their preparations for the new campaign.

They have enjoyed victories over Wealdstone and Cheltenham Town so far, and will round off against Charlton Athletic on Monday.
