Zan Vipotnik claims EFL Goals Double
Zan Vipotnik has ended the 2025-26 season as the winner of the Championship Golden Boot and the SkyBet EFL Red Boot award.
The Slovenian has enjoyed an outstanding second campaign in SA1, and ended the season with 23 league goals to his name.
That was enough for him to finish well clear of the chasing pack in the Championship, but his tally also saw him as the joint-top marksman across the three divisions in the EFL.
That secured Vipotnik a share of the Red Boot with Leyton Orient forward Dom Ballard.
The Red Boot helps raise money for the British Heart Foundation, with £50,000 donated per each goal by the award winners, meaning Vipotnik and Ballard have helped raise more than £1million to help save lives and educate the public in CPR.
“To win the golden boot in the Championship was very special, but to also win the red boot as the joint topscorer across all the three divisions of the EFL is a great honour," said Vipotnik,
“There are some great strikers who have done so well across the Championship, League One and League Two, and to have the most goals is an achievement I am proud of.
“What makes it extra special is knowing that this award will also provide great assistance to the British Heart Foundation, with over £1million raised from the goals I scored as part of the ‘Every Minute Matters’ campaign.
“To be able to be part of something that can make such a difference and help save people’s lives is an incredible feeling.”
