Zan Vipotnik | I feel I am in a good goalscoring rhythm
Championship top scorer Zan Vipotnik feels he has really found his rhythm in front of goal after his brace helped the Swans to victory over Sheffield Wednesday at the Swansea.com Stadium.
A pair of goals from the Slovenian helped Swansea City extend their unbeaten home record to seven games with a comfortable 4-0 victory over The Owls.
Goncalo Franco opened the scoring when he turned the ball home at the end of a flowing Swansea attack.
That goal separated the sides at the break and Vipotnik made sure of the points with a stunning free-kick with 20 minutes remaining, and quickly took his tally for the season to 17 goals with a calm finish from Ronald's pull-back, before Malick Yalcouye rounded off the scoring.
The 23-year-old has more than doubled his goal tally from last season, after ending the 2024-25 campaign with seven goals, and he admits he feels he has fully hit his stride this term.
"It was a nice Sunday for us, we enjoyed it. For me personally, and the team also, 4-0 and a clean sheet, it was a nice day for us," he said.
"I've found my rhythm this year, and thank you to my teammates who give me these goals and the confidence.
"For the free-kick, I spoke with Gally [Galbraith] and Jay [Fulton] as they were going to take it, and then I wasn't sure at the beginning if it would be me, but then I took it.
"I don't usually practice free-kicks normally, so I'm surprised but very happy."
