Zeidane Inoussa says Swansea City have to find the ruthless edge to fully assert their dominant spells in games following a frustrating draw against Millwall.

The Swans had led the Lions through Zan Vipotnik’s sixth goal of the season at the Swansea.com Stadium, and were on top over the opening half-hour of the contest.

But Millwall netted an equaliser through Josh Coburn in the final seconds of the first half and, despite a late spell of pressure, the hosts could not find a winner in the closing stages.

And winger Inoussa, who was heavily involved in Vipotnik’s goal and struck the post, echoed head coach Alan Sheehan’s verdict that the Swans needed to kick on after getting the opening goal.

“We are all disappointed after the game, we should have won the game and killed it off when he had chances,” said the Sweden Under-21 international.

“We need to continue to work hard after this, work on the positives and take it into the next game.

“We did drop off after the first goal. The way we played in the first 20 to 30 minutes is the way we want to play for the whole 90, but we dropped our levels.

“After our goal, we did lack our tempo and quality and the gaffer told us that we needed to have more intensity than that in the second half.

“The whole team had the same feeling that we dropped off, as a collective, we’ll look to put things right on Tuesday at Blackburn.”
