Swansea City Supporter Advisory Board

Swans Fans

Swansea City is delighted to be working towards the introduction of a Supporters Advisory Board (SAB) during the 2026-27 season.

The SAB will ensure the club remains in line with the evolution of fan engagement within football by giving a representative and democratically-elected panel of fans the opportunity to provide guidance and insight at the highest level of club decision-making.

The democratic election process has been created in consultation with both Swansea City Supporters’ Trust and the Football Supporters Association (FSA), and the latter will remain in place throughout the application and interview process to ensure that it is fair and independent.

Further details of the SAB, the application process and how it fits within the club’s wider fan engagement strategy can be found on this page.

WHAT IS THE SUPPORTER ADVISORY BOARD?

Fans Forum at the Swansea.com Stadium

The purpose of the SAB is to give a diverse and representative range of supporters the opportunity to share feedback and guide club decision making. The SAB will have a particular focus on items which impact fans such as ticketing, heritage, and overall strategic direction.

The club’s senior decision makers will commit to meeting in person with the SAB on four occasions per season. Please note, that in 2026-27 season this number of meetings will likely be fewer due to the process of electing and putting a board in place concluding midway through the upcoming campaign.

WHAT WILL SAB MEETINGS COVER?

The SAB will meet quarterly to advise and provide the supporter voice and input on topics such as:

  • Strategic vision and objectives
  • Short, medium and long-term strategy
  • Business performance, priorities and plans
  • Stadium issues and plans
  • Community strategy
  • EDI commitments
  • Broader supporter engagement plans (annual Fan Engagement Plan)
  • Ticketing matters
  • Other items which will impact fans
  • Heritage items

WHO SITS ON THE SUPPORTER ADVISORY BOARD?

Swansea City supporters

The SAB will have a maximum of 12 supporters seats, with six reserved for Supporters Groups and six for individual representatives.

The initial make up for the first board (which will operate for 18 months to ease the introductory process) will be as follows:

  • One Supporters’ Trust Representative
  • One Disabled Supporters' Association Representative
  • Up to four Supporter Group representatives (Supporter Group criteria defined below)
  • Up to six elected individual supporters

Please note, the make up of the SAB will be reviewed regularly during its first few years to ensure it is reflective, representative and fit for purpose.

GROUP APPLICATIONS

Group applications are now open. The application deadline is midday on Friday August 21, 2026.

All official and unofficial supporter groups who meet the criteria set out in the terms here are invited to apply.

The club and FSA will also welcome applications from groups which meet most of the criteria, or who are working towards meeting the criteria. These will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Please note, any groups which have an affiliation with another group (i.e. a Supporters’ Trust run single-issue working group) will be represented on the SAB by the Trust.

All group applications will be reviewed by both the club and FSA to ensure the process remains independent.

If fewer than six groups meet the criteria outlined, then outstanding group spaces will remain vacant until such time as a group which meets the criteria can fill the seat.

All group applicants will receive a response as to whether their application was successful within two weeks of the application deadline noted above.

INDIVIDUAL APPLICATIONS

Individual supporter applications are now open. The application deadline is midnight on Sunday August 23, 2026.

The club welcomes applications from all supporters aged 18 and over, and all applications will be reviewed and shortlisted by the FSA to ensure the process remains independent.

A four-person panel (including a club representative, a supporter representative, a Trust representative, and an FSA representative) will conduct interviews with the shortlisted fans.

Supporters who complete the shortlisting and interview stage, will then submit a short bio and photograph which will be published on the website ahead of a democratic supporter vote which will last one week.

Supporters who are eligible to vote will be as follows: 2026-27 Season Ticket Holders, 2026-27 Jack Army Members (all), Supporters who have attending 10+ league games (home or away) since August 2024.
