The aim of SwansAid is to support organisations that encourage young people, or those with disabilities, to increase their physical activity.

SwansAid has been giving grants to charities and community groups across South West Wales for four years, and to date, has distributed over £175,000 to these worthy winners.

SwansAid is administered by a panel of trustees who meet twice a year to consider applications and allocate the funds. They also meet each summer to decide how the grant pot will look in the coming season.

Split into Autumn and Spring rounds, 2018/19’s SwansAid will appear as the following.

The Autumn 2018 round will open for applications on September 29th, with a deadline of November 30th. The panel are looking for applications for the following awards:

Two large grants of up to £5,000

Three small grants of up to £2,000.

The Spring 2019 round opens for applications on February 9th 2019, with a deadline of April 6th 2019. The panel are looking for applications for the following awards:

Fourteen sets of kit to sports organisations

Two large grants of up to £5,000.

There are lots of applications to SwansAid and the panel want to make sure they are spreading the benefits as widely as possible. So, one thing to be aware of is that organisations that have previously been awarded SwansAid funds should wait three years from their award before applying again.
