Adam King hat-trick Swansea City Hertha Berlin

1st March

Midfielder Adam King believes Swansea City Under-23s have what it takes to win this season's Premier League International Cup after his first career hat-trick secured a 5-1 win over Hertha Berlin.
The 21-year-old netted three goals to help the young Swans beat the German side in convincing fashion at the Liberty stadium on Monday evening.
Oli McBurnie and Daniel James were also on the scoresheet as Swansea netted three times inside ten minutes to round off a classy second-half display.
And King, who spent five months on loan at League One side Southend United earlier this season, said the hat-trick was a special moment in his career.
"That was my first hat-trick and a bit of a milestone for me," he said. "To get three goals against a big team like Hertha Berlin is fantastic and does not get much better than that.

"I like to get forward and score goals," said King. "I have been working to improve that part of my game, but my goals came as part of a larger team performance. Everything just clicked for us.
"It was good to bounce back from our shaky performance against Bristol City last week. We picked ourselves up and put in the hard work to get the win on Monday.
"It was a great game to be a part of. Hertha Berlin are a great side, but we have shown how good a side we can be with the result and we are all excited to be in the semi-final.
"That has to be one of our best performances of the season, we were clinical in attack and won the ball well in midfield.
"We have had a brilliant season so far and the boys are flying with confidence. We know we can compete in this competition and if we can continue what we have done this, we have every chance to win the cup."

The draw for the semi-finals of the Premier League International Cup takes place on Wednesday at 1pm.
