Head coach Alan Sheehan was happy with a positive attacking display from his side in their 3-1 Carabao Cup victory over Crawley Town.

Ronald, Bobby Wales and Ethan Galbraith were on the scoresheet for the Swans, with the latter two players scoring their first goals for the club.

The Brazilian winger opened the scoring inside four minutes by turning in a cross at the far post, with Wales doubling the lead after the break with a left-footed finish.

Kabongo Tshimanga pulled a goal back from a rare forward foray from Crawley but, after the visitors had Gavin Holohan sent off, Galbraith coolly volleyed in the clincher.

The hosts had numerous other chances over the course of the contest, and Sheehan was pleased to see his side create so many opportunities.

“The game should have been done at half-time really,” he said.

“But it was good to bounce back after Saturday, there was some wonderful attacking play.

“The only disappointment was to concede quite a sloppy goal, and then not to get a few more goals which could have made it a more comfortable night.

“There were some really good individual performances, we are happy to have won the game, and I liked the intensity we played with more most of the game.

“There are some good relationships building, we are gelling as a group. I said after Middlesbrough that we were not the best versions of ourselves in attack.

“So, for the lads to put in an attacking display like that – no matter who the opposition are – was very pleasing.”

Sheehan had made seven changes from the weekend trip to Middlesbrough and there were lively showings from a number of players.

The Swans boss was particularly pleased with the bright link-up play between Josh Tymon and Zeidane Inoussa down the left flank.

“Josh Tymon has been an important player here for a while, we love him, and Zeidane is blending well into he team and is an exciting player,” he added.

“We want to integrate him into the team and the league, but we believe he is going to be a really good player for us.

“Kaelan Casey made his first start, Sam Parker did well too and I thought Andy Fisher was very assured in goal.

“So there were some very good performances and we are very pleased with the win.”
