Amat's amazing Swans introduction

3rd August

Defender Jordi Amat saluted Swansea City's attacking qualities during an "amazing" night of Europa League action.
The Swans put Swedish side Malmo to the sword at the Liberty Stadium, winning the first leg of their third qualifying round tie 4-0.
Michu, club record signing Wilfried Bony (2) and substitute Alejandro Pozuelo scored the goals as Michael Laudrup's side built a healthy lead ahead of the return leg in Sweden next Thursday.
For Amat, it was an ideal night to make his debut following a £2.5million switch from Espanyol this summer.
The 21-year-old, who made some crucial tackles in the defensive third, enjoyed his first taste of the atmosphere at the Liberty as he partnered captain Ashley Williams in defence.

"My first match went very well. I was pleased to start, and this was an important day for myself and the club," he said.
"I really enjoyed being out there. I have a good feeling about this team.
"It is a dream to play in the Europa League with Swansea City and in this stadium. It was an amazing night.
"It was a good result to take out to Sweden, but we still have a job to do - this stage is about two legs, not one match."
With Michu, Bony and Pozuelo all finding the net, the Swans are favourites to make it through to the Play-Off stage of the competition.
And Amat praised the side's finishing prowess against Malmo in a performance Laudrup described as perfect.
"All the team played very well," he added. "The first goal from Michu really sent us in the right direction, and then Bony got two before Pozuelo scored his first goal for the club.
"But it wasn't just their goals - we had a lot of players really testing their defence, like Wayne (Routledge) and Nathan (Dyer).
"Jonjo (Shelvey) even tried to score from the halfway line, and that shows his intentions and vision. We have a lot of players with great attacking qualities."
