Angel returns to training

Angel Rangel has boosted Swansea City by returning to training following three months on the sidelines.

The 35-year-old club captain has not played since the 2-0 Premier League defeat against Tottenham at the Liberty Stadium in early January because of a groin problem.

Having had surgery in February, Rangel is now edging towards full fitness and will hope to play a part in the Premier League run-in - although he will not be ready for Saturday’s visit to West Brom.

“He is back in training,” said boss Carlos Carvalhal.

“He needs more time before he can play, but he started training with the team yesterday.”
