Angel's big charity fundraiser

9th April

He's already been hailed for his recent goodwill gesture in helping the homeless, now Angel Rangel steps up his charity work with a fundraising event at the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday night (April 10).
The Swans full-back has arranged the charity function to raise money for three local causes - Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres, Severn Hospice and Kids Cancer Charity.
The Spaniard's efforts have also received the backing of his fellow team-mates, with a number of players set to attend while several have donated their own match shirts, boots and gloves.
There are some top prizes on offer for the auction, including:

-    Angel Rangel's personal box for eight guests for the Manchester City fixture on Saturday, May 4.
-    A week's stay at a Spanish villa in Costa Brava.
-    Mercedes car experience.
-    Trip to the F1 track in Barcelona including flights.
-    Two limited edition Swansea City Premier League medals.

They are just some of the fantastic items up for grabs at the event, which will hopefully raise much-needed donations for the three charities.
And Angel has already been delighted with the response he has received.
"We only decided to do the event a few weeks ago and I must say the support we have had has been fantastic," said the Spaniard.
"The three charities are very important and do a lot of good work, so it's vital we raise as much money as possible for each of them.
"We have over 200 people coming to the event, and some of my team-mates will be there to hand over the prizes they have put forward.
"We have had some fantastic prizes donated for the night, and I am very thankful to everyone individual and business who has helped.
"We also have the Capital One Cup on the night for people to take their pictures with.
"So I'm sure everyone will enjoy the event which will help the three charities continue the fine work they already do."
