Coach Anthony Wright was pleased with Swansea City Under-21s' control and quality to come from behind and claim a 5-2 win on the road against Millwall on Friday.

Thomas Woodward opened the scoring early on, but the Swans lead was short-lived due to an own goal moments later.

Millwall's Jet Dyer then had to hosts in front not long after before Woodward netted a second to ensure a 2-2 scoreline going into the break.

More goals came for the Swans in the second half as Josiah Kallicharan, Josh Pescatore and Morgan Bates all struck home to claim three points in London.

"We're pleased with the win, however, I still think we can do better especially in the first- half," said Wright.

"The first-half was cut into three 15 minute segments. We started bright, had a few chances and scored a good goal. We then allowed Millwall to have a spell of attacking phases through us not keeping the ball, during this spell they scored two goals.

"The last 15 mins strong moved ball got back control and scored two goals to go in half time with a 3-2 lead. Thomas Woodward with 2 (woody 11th goal of campaign) scored two and Josiah scored a well deserved goal for his performance.

"We then half time made changes with the Under-18s FA Youth Cup in mind for Monday against Leeds so we were always going to limit players minutes regardless of game outcome.

"We were in complete control in the second half, we were pleased with our decision making when to attack with purpose or when to circulate and move the opposition about.

"I was pleased with once we worked the opposition into certain areas, we then exploited the space and worked overloads in wide areas to attack the space in behind which led to creating numerous chances.

"Josh Pescatore scored his eighth goal of the season,  a wonderful goal and a brilliant assist from Yori Griffith, who has been out for a month.

"Morgan Bates with goal number eleven for him rounded up goal five with a strikers instinct finish right place right time in the middle of the goal. Overall, pleased with outcome a an away win with still lots to continually learn and develop as individuals."
