Ash leads Wales in draw

14th August

Ashley Williams captained Wales as they were held to a 0-0 draw against the Republic of Ireland in a friendly in Cardiff.
Ben Davies also started while Neil Taylor came on as a second-half substitute in a game where few chances were created.
Davies actually went the closest for Wales as he fired a first-time shot just wide of the far corner following a quickly-taken free-kick.
Meanwhile, Michel Vorm featured for the whole 90 minutes as Holland were held 1-1 by Portugal, who levelled through Cristiano Ronaldo with three minutes left.
Wilfried Bony was also in action - he was replaced after 72 minutes as the Ivory Coast went down 4-1 to Mexico in New Jersey.
