Ashley Williams takes centre-stage in Jack Magazine
19th September 2014
Swans captain Ashley Williams takes centre-stage in this weekend's 84-page edition of Jack Magazine as the Swans host Southampton at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday (3pm).
In an exclusive interview with Swansea City's official matchday programme, the Wales skipper speaks to Jack Magazine about his new style of captaincy and the inspiration behind it.
"I've tried to change a little bit this year," admits Williams.
"It's something that I've been working on in pre-season, speaking to Mitch [Ian Mitchell] and the gaffer to try and be a better leader.
"Normally, I'm a very vocal captain and quite aggressive, which probably reflects the way I play and the way I am on the pitch.
"But this year I've tried to look at it a bit more diplomatically. I realise you can't treat all players exactly the same - different players thrive off a different way of leadership."
Also in this week's jam-packed Jack Magazine, Lukasz Fabianski goes under the spotlight in our brand new 'Football Firsts' feature as he tells us about his earliest experiences of the beautiful game.
Meanwhile, we bring you an exclusive interview with Saints fan and 400m sprinter Roger Black in our regular 'A Famous Face' feature, our very own club legend Alan Curtis features in 'A Foot in Both Camps' and Lee Trundle gives us the latest on his exploits in the community.
And if that wasn't enough to whet your appetite, we have plenty more in store, including an in-depth insight into Saturday's opponents Southampton, as well as a statistical comparison between the Swans and the Saints.
This weekend's Jack Magazine will be available for just £3 on matchday from around the Liberty Stadium, the Club Shop and online.
It will also be available in Slee Stores in Plasmari, Coggers on Wind Street and Browns Newsagent in Landore.
Jack Magazine really is a must-have for any Swans fan. Don't miss out.
