AWAY DAYS: Arsenal travel information

10th May

Arsenal v Swansea City
Monday, May 11 (8pm kick-off)

Address: Emirates Stadium, Highbury House, London, N5 1BU
Telephone: 0207 619 5003
Website:www.arsenal.com

What's it like? Entry to the stadium is by a 'smart ticket', where a ticket reader reads the bar code. The away supporters are situated in the South-East corner, close to the home supporters, which makes for a good atmosphere.

Pubs and grub: The 'Drayton Arms' (N5 1ND) is the traditional pub for away fans in the Arsenal area. The pub overlooks the stadium and is just a few minutes' walk away from the Emirates. It is located near Arsenal tube station and Drayton Park railway station. It's recommended that you get there early because the Drayton Arms can get very busy on matchdays.
Elsewhere, 'The Twelve Pins' (N4 2DE) near Finsbury Park tube station is another recommended pub. Home and away fans mix in The Twelve Pins, which is a ten-minute walk from the ground. 'The Blackstock' (N4 2DL), opposite The Twelve Pins, also welcomes away fans and has a big screen showing Sky Sports.

Parking: There's not much parking available at the Emirates Stadium or in nearby streets, with 'residents only' parking available in the nearby area. It is highly recommended that supporters park near a tube station such as Cockfosters and use the tube to make their way to the ground.

By Train/tube: Swans supporters should head to Arsenal tube station on matchday - just a few minutes' walk from the Emirates Stadium. Other tube stations within walking distance are Finsbury Park (Piccadilly line) and Highbury & Islington (Victoria line).
Overland trains to Finsbury Park Railway Station are from London Kings Cross. It's a 10 to 15-minute walk to the stadium.
After the game, many tube stations are closed due to overcrowding, so it may take a long walk to find one open. The police often recommend taking the train into Kings Cross in order to get to central London. Post-match you are better off walking to Finsbury Park than wait in the long queues at Arsenal tube. To get to Finsbury Park, walk past Arsenal tube station on your left and take a left into St Thomas's Road. The station is at the end of the road.
There are plenty of trains heading to London with the cheapest at £19.50* leaving at 2.28pm and 3.28pm. The only train back to Swansea from Paddington after the game is at 10.45pm - priced £19.50* - getting into Swansea at 2.16am.
*Prices at the time of writing.
