If you are planning on heading to London to cheer on Swansea City against QPR, here is a handy travel guide to make your journey that bit easier.

SEAT ALLOCATION

Up to 2,500 Swans fans will be housed in the School End. Make sure you are there at least 30 minutes before kick-off as there are security checks before and at the turnstiles. Hot dogs, pies and sausage rolls are sold.

PARKING

There’s little parking near the ground itself and South Africa Road closes to traffic 90 minutes before kick-off, staying closed until 15 minutes after the match starts.

The road closes again 15 minutes before the final whistle and remains shut for an hour after the conclusion of the game.

Supporters are advised that they will need to check local road signs for certainty if opting to use street parking around the stadium.

Alternatively, you can try Westfield Shopping Centre in Shepherd’s Bush, where it will cost you £8.50 for up to 24 hours.

There are a few pay and display bays in Dorando Close, but there is a long wait to get out after the game due to the road closure.

BY TRAIN/TUBE  

The nearest tube station is White City (Central Line), a five-minute walk away from the stadium.

Also nearby is Wood Lane Station, (Hammersmith & City line), a seven- minute walk away, while Shepherd’s Bush Market Station (Central Line) and Shepherd’s Bush (Hammersmith & City line) are 10 and 15 minutes away on foot respectively.

The nearest train station is Shepherd’s Bush, next to the tube station, but it’s not directly served by any of the major London stations, although trains from Watford and Clapham Junction stop there)

The journey from Swansea to London Paddington takes around three hours. Trains leave Swansea at 1.29pm, 2.29pm and 3.29pm. The only train back to Swansea leaves Paddington at 10.45pm getting in at 2.17am on Thursday morning.

NEARBY PUBS

There are no pubs for away fans in the immediate vicinity around the stadium. In nearby Shepherd’s Bush Green there are a number of bars, but most do not welcome visiting fans and employ doormen to enforce this.

One exception is Belushi’s Bar, which is located in the Vue Complex, opposite Shepherd’s Bush Tube Station.
