Swansea City are hopeful that Bersant Celina will be fit to feature when Championship leaders Norwich come to the Liberty on Saturday (3pm).

The midfielder pulled out of Kosovo’s games against Malta and Azerbaijan during the international break because of concerns over a groin problem.

But Celina has responded well to treatment on the injury and has now returned to full training.

As a result, Graham Potter is optimistic that Celina, who has been one of the Swans’ most consistent performers this season, will be given the all-clear for the Norwich clash.

“We are aiming for Bersant to be okay for the weekend,” said the Swans manager.

“He felt something at the end of the Bolton game and we explained his situation to his national team.

“It was more precautionary that he did not go away, but he is back into training now and we hope he will be available for the weekend.”
