The best is yet to come, insists Jefferson Montero

Jefferson Montero insists his best form is yet to come despite his hugely impressive display against Arsenal on Sunday.

The Ecuadorian winger produced a man-of-the-match performance against the Gunners as the Swans came from a goal down to beat Arsene Wenger's side 2-1 at the Liberty Stadium.

Montero was a constant threat down the left flank, causing the Arsenal defence countless problems with his pace and trickery, while he delivered the cross for Bafetimbi Gomis to head Swansea's winner.

But despite winning plenty of plaudits last weekend, the 25-year-old, who arrived from Mexican side Monarcas Morelia in the summer, believes there is room for further improvement.

"I think I'm playing well now, but I want to play even better," said Montero.

"The most important thing is that the team won against Arsenal and hopefully I can contribute a lot more this season.

"I feel like every player can be in the first 11. I'm enjoying my time and I'm training hard to do my best and to keep doing the same."
