BLAST FROM THE PAST: Crystal Palace

28th February

As part of our brand new content on Twitter and the club website, today we kick-off our weekly 'blast from the past' feature.

Every Friday, we will provide supporters the opportunity to reminisce over a classic match between the Swans and an upcoming opponent.

Garry Monk's side welcome Crystal Palace to the Liberty Stadium on Sunday (4.30pm), so we took a look back at a classic encounter between the two sides from 2010.

Crystal Palace Vs Swansea City - Selhurst Park - 30 October, 2010

Third-place Swansea City extended their unbeaten run in the Championship to six thanks to goals from Scott Sinclair, Darren Pratley and Joe Allen.

Crystal Palace found themselves chasing the game almost from the off after conceding an early Sinclair strike which came from a quickly-taken free-kick after Edgar Davids had fouled Allen.

Despite enjoying more possession after conceding their first, Palace struggled to test De Vries, and the Swans doubled their lead when Pratley added the visitors' second with 19 minutes left on the clock.

And with 10 minutes to go, Allen made sure of the win by finishing off the move he started.
The Welsh midfielder found Nathan Dyer, who laid back off to him, before side-footing home.

The away victory and clean sheet at Selhurst Park meant Swansea had now gone seven hours and 35 minutes without conceding a goal in the league.
