The Swans secured their second home win of the season with a dominant performance at the Liberty.
Newcastle started the game well but it was Nathan Dyer who broke the deadlock before the break to give the home side the lead.
Mathieu Debuchy put through his own net to give the Swans a two-goal lead before Jonjo Shelvey netted from 25 yards to seal a fine win.
