BLAST FROM THE PAST: Swans v West Ham

9th January

Swansea City 3 West Ham 0
Barclays Premier League - Saturday, 26 August 2012
The Swans maintained their 100% start to the season following a comfortable win over West Ham at the Liberty Stadium.
Michael Laudrup's side were well worth their victory, which took them to the top of the Premier League having scored eight goals in their opening two games.
The Swans named the same side that thrashed QPR on the opening day of the season, while new recruit Ki Sung-Yueng was introduced to the home crowd prior to kick-off.
After a positive start from West Ham, the home side began to dominate and deservedly took the lead when Angel Rangel's low drive across goal quirked under the body of Jussi Jaaskelainen and into the net.
Nine minutes later and the hosts doubled their advantage as a woeful backpass from James Collins was seized upon by Michu and the Spaniard tucked it home for his third goal in two games.
Despite Carlton Cole and Matt Jarvis going close late in the first half, the Swans added a third midway through the second period as Danny Graham finished off a Wayne Routledge cross following a fine move.

SWANS: Vorm, Rangel, Chico Flores, Williams, Taylor (Davies, 84), Britton, de Guzman (Agustien, 75), Michu, Dyer, Routledge (Moore, 81), Graham.

WEST HAM: Jaaskelainen, Reid, McCartney, Tomkins (Vaz Te, 46), Collins, Demel, Nolan, Jarvis, Noble, Diame (Diarra, 69), Cole (Maiga, 62).
