Chief operating officer Chris Pearlman brings fans up to date on events and progress off the pitch at Swansea City in today's edition of Jack Magazine.

Good afternoon, and welcome back to the Liberty. Also, a warm welcome to the directors, players and supporters from Brentford.

We were originally due to play the Bees at the Liberty in the league yesterday, but our respective cup runs mean we now meet today instead in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Our league fixture against Brentford has now been put back until Tuesday, April 2. It will be one of seven games we currently have scheduled for April – with one or two more to be added in if we progress further in the cup – so there will certainly be plenty of football to watch and points to play for.

It’s the magic of the cup that is the focus today, though. The FA Cup provides the team and supporters an additional target to set our sights on.

Being one win away from the quarter-finals of the competition – a feat which we achieved last season but had not attained before then since 1964 – is a testament to the hard work and commitment of Graham and our players.

There seems to be an added buzz around the cup this year in Swansea, and a positive result today would no doubt add additional excitement to the second half of the season.

We had over 15,000 fans at the Liberty for the fourth-round tie against Gillingham, of whom more than 2,000 came as part of the ‘Come with your Club’ initiative.

We are thrilled to be executing the same promotion around this match and would like to thank the Swansea Junior League and other junior leagues in the area for their continued support in helping us connect the club to the next generation of Swans fans.

We are also running our popular ‘Kids for a Quid’ initiative today, so we hope our young fans – many of whom will be here for the first time – enjoy their Swans experience.

Season ticket renewals continue to pace very well. At the time of writing, our renewal numbers were more than 33.5 per cent higher than they were this time last year. Fans are reminded that they have until the end of March to renew their seat for next season.

We have an exciting and important run of matches over the coming weeks. On the league front, we have the opportunity to pick up important points against some clubs above us in the table.

After a trip to Sheffield Wednesday next weekend, we are at home against Bolton Wanderers, followed by a run of matches against Norwich, West Brom, Nottingham Forest and Derby.

The month of March will be crucial in helping to determine how we finish out the campaign before a very busy April.

Thank you very much for your continued support.

Enjoy the match.
