Bony boost for Swans
2nd December 2013
Wilfried Bony has given the Swans a timely boost ahead of a hectic Christmas and New Year period.
The striker limped off against Valencia in the Europa League last Thursday with what looked like a serious hamstring injury.
The club's £12m leading scorer was expected to be out for "several weeks", but following a scan this afternoon the Ivory Coast international was diagnosed with a Grade One hamstring strain which has a recovery period of around 10 days.
Swans defender Angel Rangel also underwent a scan on a calf injury sustained in the same game.
It was slightly worse news for the consistent Spaniard who was diagnosed with a Grade Two calf strain which is expected to rule him out for two to three weeks.
